About Juvéderm™ Filler

Juvéderm™ is a filler product that is made from laboratory hyaluronic acid. Along with collagen and elastin, hyaluronic acid is found inside the dermis and is responsible for maintaining the skin's hydration (water absorption).

Juvéderm™ can be injected in many areas of the face. Some of these areas include the lips (to maintain volume or to get rid of fine lines), the folds around the mouth, the cheeks, the frown lines, forehead lines as well as other areas.

Juvéderm™ is injected with a small needle and injections can be performed with local anesthesia. Swelling lasts about 12 hours and the results can last from 3 to 6 months.

Jacksonville Juvéderm™ specialists Phillip and Roberto Garcia perform all filler injections personally to ensure optimal results.

Radiesse

Radiesse (formerly known as Radiance) is derived from calcium hydroxiapatite (CaHA) crystals, a primary component of bone and teeth. Radiesse is peculiar in that when injected into tissues, it will take on the shape and consistency of the surrounding tissue. For example, when injected into soft tissue, it will become stiff and hard like bone.

Radiesse has very few adverse reactions, which make it an excellent filling agent giving long-term results. Very rare side effects include small palpable beads under the skin following injections. If these do occur, they will resolve. Radiesse has a usual duration of action of 12 to 16 months.
