FAQs
How often do I have to have this done?
We recommend that you have your treatments anywhere from 21 to 35 days apart. This allows our CME to treat the hair through each hair growth cycle. After you approximately 8 to 10 treatments* you will be able to go to a maintenance program a few times a year.
*each person is unique and may require more or less treatments.

Who performs the Laser treatments?
A Certified Medical Electrologist will perform your laser treatments. We also have double board certified physicians whom are onsite while the laser is in use.

What areas can I have laser treatments performed?
We can use the GentleLase laser on any area of the body and limited areas of the face. It is important that your eyes are protected during each service; therefore, we do not treat areas close to the eyes.

Waxing

Waxing is a quick and cost effective way to remove unwanted hair. A warm wax mixture is spread over the unwanted hair in the direction of its growth and a paper or cloth strip is then placed on top of the soft wax. Once the wax has slightly cooled, it is pulled off in the opposite direction of hair growth. The entire hair follicle should be removed from the root giving you results that last up to 6 weeks. Before you are ready for a waxing service you must allow for some hair growth. Typically the hair needs to grow approximately 3 to 4 weeks before it is long enough to provide the best results.

LATISSE™ solution is a prescription treatment for hypotrichosis used to grow eyelashes, making them longer,thicker, and darker.

Eyelash hypotrichosis is another name for having inadequate or not enough eyelashes.

How does it work?

LATISSE™ is believed to affect the growth (anagen) phase of the eyelash hair cycle in 2 ways: first, it increases the length of this phase; and second, it increases the number of hairs in this growth phase. The exact way it works is unknown.

How soon will I see results?

The onset of effect with LATISSE™ solution is gradual. In clinical trial, the majority of LATISSE™ users saw a significant improvement by 2 months.

How is LATISSE™ different?

Only LATISSE™ has been approved by the FDA as a prescription treatment for hypotrichosis used togrow eyelashes. It also has been studied in clinical trial to demonstrate its safety and effectiveness.

Can anyone use LATISSE™?

You should not use LATISSE™ solution if you are allergic to one of its ingredients. Also, tell your doctor or eye care specialist if any of the following apply to you:

  • Previously diagnosed with eye pressure problems: People with a history of eye pressure problems (specifically elevated intraocular pressure) should speak to an eye care specialist before starting LATISSE™
  • Currently taking medication for eye pressure problems: People taking medication to lower their IOP should be closely monitored while using LATISSE™ solution
  • Have risk factors for glaucoma: People with risk factors for an eye condition called glaucoma, including a family history of glaucoma, should speak to an eye care specialist before starting LATISSE

Is LATISSE™ safe?

The safety and effectiveness of LATISSE™ was shown in a clinical trial. Ask your doctor for more information about the safety of LATISSE™ solution, and see the Important Safety Information on the back cover of this brochure.

What are the possible side effects with LATISSE™?

The most common side effects after using LATISSE™ are eye itching or eye redness. These were reported by about 4% of users in clinical trial.1 LATISSE™ solution may cause other less common side effects, which typically occur on the skin close to where LATISSE™ is applied, or in the eyes. These include skin darkening, eye irritation, dryness, or redness of the eyelids.

If you develop a new eye condition (like an eye trauma or infection), experience a sudden decrease in vision, have eye surgery, or develop any eye reactions, particularly an infection and eyelid reactions, you should immediately talk to your doctor about whether or not to continue using LATISSE™ solution.

How to Maintain your Lashes

  • Avoid getting your lashes wet within the first 24 hours to allow the adhesive time to dry thoroughly.
  • Avoid hot steam from the shower and sauna as well as swimming and tanning salons altogether for the first 48 hours. After this period try to keep sauna, steam room and tanning visits to a minimum as the application of constant heat may cause the adhesive bond to weaken.
  • Avoid using harsh mechanical eyelash curlers as they can break both natural and synthetic lashes. A Heated Eyelash Curler can be used sparingly to help shape and curl lashes on the TIPS of the lashes ONLY. Do not apply heated eyelash curler to the base of the lashes where the lashes are bonded.
  • Avoid using any oil based cleansers on or near the eye area. Instead, use water or gel cleanser such as the Xtreme Lashes Eye Makeup Remover and a sponge tipped applicator lint free cloth to gently remove makeup from around the eye. Do not use cotton balls, cotton rounds or swabs directly on the eyelashes as the fibers may get lodged in the bond area of your Xtreme Lashes.
  • After the first 24 hours, you can apply Protective Coating once or twice per week to your new lashes to preserve the look and extend the life of your Xtreme Lashes. Follow the instructions on the product label for best results.
  • Although mascara is not necessary with your Xtreme Lashes you can use it sparingly, on the tips only, to achieve an even more dramatic look. We strongly recommend using one of the Xtreme Lashes Mascaras which have been specially formulated for use with lash extensions. Follow the instructions outlined on the Xtreme Lashes Mascaras labels for best results. Avoid using oil based or waterproof mascara as the ingredients in it will dissolve the bond of the adhesive.
  • Avoid using any oil based products on or near your lashes. Oil will dissolve the adhesive bond! Use water or gel based cosmetic products instead.
  • Avoid Chemical Peels, Alpha Hydroxy, Beta Hydroxy and other highly acidic substances while wearing Xtreme Lashes Eyelash Extensions. These substances will dissolve the adhesive bond.

Above all, be gentle! Do not pick or pull your Xtreme Lashes and refrain from excessively rubbing your eyes.

When applied and maintained properly, your Xtreme Lashes can last up to 2 months depending on the natural growth cycle of your eyelashes and how well you maintain them. The life cycle of an eyelash is 60 to 90 days. Lashes will shed naturally at the end of their life cycle and lash fill-ins will be necessary every 2 to 4 weeks to replace the fallen lashes.
